Roman Reigns vs. Big Show
Reigns and Big Show kick off Smackdown after Triple H announces that he will make an announcement on Monday that will “shake the core” of the WWE Universe. Reigns gets taken down early with some blows to his stomach and Big Show continues the assault.
We get back from a commercial break and Reigns finally hits a clothesline and then a Samoan Drop. Roman hits a clothesline to the outside and it looks like he hurt his knee. Btoh men make the count and Show catches him with a chokeslam and gets a two count. Big Show heads to the top and Reigns connects with a Superman Punch two times. He tosses Show off the top rope and then connects with a Spear for the win.
There was no doubt people kept booing, but Reigns vs. Show was one of their best matches. Reigns overcame a few chokeslams and punches, continues to get better and needed to make a statement. If he continues to have good matches and gets better, the boos will go away.
Should WWE consider a heel turn for him? Lesnar turns face?
Tyson Kidd vs. Jey Uso
Quick pace makes the match exciting from the get-go. Kidd works on his leg and applies a submission hold. Jey kicks Tyson to the outside and Jey gets going for a suicide dive. He is stopped with a Pele Kick and Jey counters with a Samoan Drop. Cesaro tries to distract him and Jimmy takes him out. Tyson Kidd hits him in the knee and then connects with his finisher for the win.
It was not a long match at all, but it showed that WWE is going to give Cesaro and Kidd an opportunity. A win here and how they spoke of the tag team tells me that they could be next in line for a championship opportunity. I really like the potential of this team and think a slow build could make them really important. I fear WWE will jump the gun and make it for WWE Fast Lane. I hope they hold out for Mania. Give me a 6 man tag team match, addding Nattie and Naomi.
