What The Hell Was That?
WWE gave us a really bad Royal Rumble match last night. I knew Roman Reigns would win, but I did not like how it all played out.
The Good:
– Seeing Bubby Ray Dudley get a great reaction from the crowd and return to the WWE. Man, that guy was good in TNA as a heel. I can’t see him doing much, unfortunately, in WWE.
– Roman Reigns’ push continues and WWE is sure that he is their next big star. Love it or hate it, Reigns is here to stay.
The Bad:
– Why would you put The Miz and R-Truth at 1/2? Maybe you needed to put someone in the ring that people care about. WHY NOT MIZDOW AND MIZ?
– Dolph Ziggler, on the hottest streak of his career, did absolutely nothing last night. Same goes for the guy that captured his IC Title in Bad News Barrett.
– Bray Wyatt dominates early in the match, but then gets tossed to easily by Kane and Big Show. Wyatt Family got a good pop, but nothing else came after that. Also, why did Zack Ryder answer “Bray’s challenge?” I believe he screwed that up and it was for Daniel Bryan.
– Big Show and Kane are still viewed by Vince as “stars.” Who would have thought for one solitary second that these guys could win last night? So, Why are they in the end? I hated it and hated the fact that they simply tossed out some of the future pieces in the WWE. MAKES NO SENSE.
– The Rock couldn’t even save Roman Reigns. THAT IS A PROBLEM.
The Solution:
Listen to the fans. Be smart. Those are two things that do not go together. Just because WWE fans try to hijack the match does not mean you HAVE to do what they say. This could have been avoided if you brought guys back like Randy Orton in the final four. Make it believable and not the usual garbage we see every week for the past 15 years.
People got upset more because of the lack of logic over anything else. The Authority, shall we say, is ruining some of their best talent. It simply did not work and was really poor planning on their behalf.
