Meaningless Matches
Dean Ambrose vs. Curtis Axel
Ambrose comes out hot and immediately attacks Curtis Axel. They brawl to the outside and the bell does not even ring. Ambrose hits Dirty Deeds. He cuts a promo about his Ambulance Match with Bray Wyatt and says he will throw Bray into the Ambulance and says he is taking Wyatt to “Happy New Year Hell.”
Erick Rowan vs. Bray Wyatt
Rowan hits a big splash into the corner and then Wyatt ducks out of the way. He yells at Erick Rowan and asks why he is doing this to him. Wyatt hits elbow strikes to Rowan’s head. Rowan fights back with some chops and then punches him in the face. Bray Wyatt yells no more to Rowan and he looks confused. Rowan helps up Wyatt and then Bray hits his finisher on his former partner.
I am all for new feuds and new talent getting a chance. Do we feel that WWE dropped the ball on a potential Wyatt vs. Rowan or Wyatt vs. Harper feud? It just seemed like they forgot to put them in some sort of important storyline. This would have immediately given them something interesting to do instead of Harper’s short title reign and Rowan’s up and down past two months. There is no direction with either Harper or Rowan. You can tell by how they are being booked right now and how illogical their matches have been. Why do we care to see Harper vs. Swagger? They should have had this break-up on a much LARGER scale.
