Paglino: I can’t argue with this one. Sting debuting with WWE was more surprising than it was shocking, and to me it seemed eventual.
Similarly, the Streak coming to an end seemed eventual, but I certainly didn’t think it would be against Brock Lesnar. As if it wasn’t evidenced enough by the silence of the crowd, Lesnar conquering the Streak was truly the most “shocking” thing I’ve seen in years.
Killam didn’t include Brock Lesnar’s dominant victory over John Cena at SummerSlam as one of the options, which surprises me, as that win was nearly as shocking as the Streak coming to an end. I certainly didn’t see either coming from a mile away.
