Isenberg Reacts: WWE Raw “New Champions, Debuts and Main Eventers Return”

Testing Out Roman Reigns

wwe rawRoman Reigns takes down Rollins with a few shoulder blocks. Reigns continues to work on his shoulder. Seth counters with a kick and then drags him to the outside. Reigns throws Rollins’ head on the mat a few times and then Reigns gets back into the ring. Seth grabs Roman by the hair and throws him on the mat. He kicks him over and over again.

Roman sunset flips and then picks Rollins up by one arm to slam him back down. Reigns connects with his patented dropkick, but J and J Security gets involved. We head to a break.

Seth Rollins is in control and slows the pace down. He follows a sleeper hold with a dropkick and then throws his head to the mat. He hits a running elbow and then Roman Reigns catches him with a Tilt-a-Whirl slam. Reigns rallies with an explosive clothesline and then a side slam. Rollins lands on his feet and then connects with a beautiful kick and another one right to his face. Reigns ducks under and hits a Superman Punch. He is setting up for a Spear, but Big Show trips him up and begins the assault. He launches Reigns over the table and buries him under it.

Roman Reigns held his own against a guy so smooth and efficient as Seth Rollins. The match was long enough to realize that Roman Reigns can go for more than 8 minutes. He can work a really good 10-15 minute television match. I really liked the ending, as Big Show showcases his strength and the “Superman” of the WWE seems to be injured. This will make him a guy that needs to overcome more obstacles to look bigger and better heading into 2015.

Daniel Bryan Returns and So Does The Authority

Two big moment came at the end of WWE Raw. Daniel Bryan announced that he is ready to fight and compete. He announces that he will be in the 2015 Royal Rumble.

After forcing John Cena’s hand by threatening to break Edge’s neck, Seth Rollins gets Cena to bring The Authority back. Big Show and Seth Rollins end up hitting a Curb Stomp  and are greeted by Brock Lesnar, Paul Heyman and The Authority.

Two shots of main event talent are brought back to the WWE in perfect time.

Will Daniel Bryan be back in the main event? YES! Is he still going to be hot upon his ring return? YES! Like I mentioned before, superior talent will always be appreciated by the WWE Universe. It is up to the suits to realize how big they can really be.

As for The Authority returning, you need them back in power. They are too good to be off of television and used sporadically. Triple H needs the power and that struggle between him and Sting needs to be prominent. I love the idea of Sting vs. Triple H at WrestleMania, but there needs to be a reason why they are fighting. Raw ended with plenty of main talent coming back and saddling up for a big run towards WrestleMania 31.
