A New Adam Rose
Adam Rose quickly attacks R-Truth with kicks and then a snap suplex. He hits some massive forearm shots and then begins to choke him out. Truth tries to get the crowd behind him and is able to slide out.
Rose gets hit with a spinning heel kick and an elbow. Truth explodes with a few clothesline and then sends him into the corner. Rose reverses a suplex and then throws Truth into the steel post. He hits a Party Foul and picks up the win.
The match was not long, but it did not seem to matter. Adam Rose had a new attitude in the ring and a different approach to his match. He looked aggressive from the very beginning and looks to the crowd with an intense look. Could WWE keep him a face or does he ultimately have to turn a heel now? Either way, he just has to be taken seriously. There is a good chance that he turns heel and it will be an experiment for sure. WWE just needs to stop wasting some of their better “wrestlers.”
Rusev vs. Dean Ambrose
Dean Ambrose kicks Rusev into the corner, only to be reversed and beaten down with vicious shots. Rusev chokes him on the second rope and then continues to kick at his body. Ambrose hits a cross body and then punches him a few times. He chops the Bulgarian Brute and then connects with a dropkick. Rusev is taken to the outside and Ambrose hits a Suicide Dive.
Rusev gets back in control and ties Ambrose in the ropes before throwing his entire body into him. This takes Ambrose to the outside and we head to a break.
Upon return, Rusev slows the pace down by working on Ambrose’s neck. Dean Ambrose is able to get a foot up and then hits a combination punch/chop assault. Rusev hits a Fallaway Slam for a two count. Rusev hits a kick to Ambrose and begins to taunt the crowd once more. Dean ducks from a corner splash and then rolls him up for a quick two count. Ambrose hits a bulldog and looks to set him up for an elbow drop. He springs off the rope and hits a big clothesline. He hits an elbow drop (standing) and Rusev continues to kick out. Bray Wyatt comes out and attacks his rival.
Bray sets his sights on Ambrose and then tries Sister Abigail. He ends up having to throw Ambrose to the outside and both men spill over the announce table. Ambrose grabs some chairs and throws them into the ring. This allows Bray to escape and crawl to the back.
The intensity is there. The young guys are trying to answer the call of being the “main eventers.” There is just something missing. Still, Ambrose vs. Wyatt is pretty good, but nothing great. I know that there can be so much more taken from these guys. It has to. Ambrose and Wyatt are two of the brightest stars that WWE has.
Their TLC match was predictable and safe. These guys CANNOT BE SAFE AND PREDICTABLE. With unique characters and fresh ideas, they need to step it up in the creative department. We all want to see more outside of the ring vignettes and promos. Let their story evolve more than just a few ring moves and weapons INSIDE the ring. Go OUTSIDE.
