Ryback defeated Kane
Kane starts off early with some shots to his face and then Kane drops him with a chop to the throat. Kane gets taken down with a spinebuster and out comes Rusev. Ryback kicks Rusev to the outside and then connects with a Shell Shock.
After the match, Ryback and Rusev stare down and taunt one another. Ryback hits Kane and Rusev kicks him right into a chokeslam. He hits another and the “big guy” is down.
The segment was a little too quick for my taste. If you are going to try and really push a feud to the next level, you need more than just a kick and a chokeslam. I still am not a huge fan of Rusev working with someone else to get advantages over other guys. He needs to be built like a machine, a solo act.
There is really no need for him to HAVE to get help from someone else. Doesn’t that make him look somewhat weaker than what they have been building him up to be? He had no help against Henry, Swagger, Show and more. Why does he now?
Naomi defeated Alicia Fox
Fox hits a quick dropkick and then a two count. Naomi floats over Alicia Fox and then catches her with her legs. She hits a spin kick and then grabs Fox by her hair. With some elbow shots and a tilt-a-whirl suplex, Alicia gets in control.
The pace slows down with a sleeper hold. Naomi gets out of it and hits her in the side of the head. She hits a Split Leg Moonsault for the win. We see The Miz backstage celebrating the win.
A simple victory and a little added bonus to see The Miz cheering for Naomi. I know this is a shot in the dark, but wouldn’t it be sweet if Maryse would come back and either be upset with her husband or even have her do the same thing Miz is doing with Jimmy Uso. Like I said, it is a big shot in the dark, but could really be interesting if done right. Also, how great could Mizdow be in this triangle?
