Isenberg’s Reaction: WWE Raw “Slammy’s Create No Splash”

AJ Lee defeated Summer Rae

Summer hits a few offensive moves and then chokes AJ Lee with her boot. AJ quickly counters and makes her tap out.

This is my biggest problem with the Divas division. You know know, going into this match, how it would all play out. Summer gets a few moves in and AJ win in easy fashion. I just really dislike how they continue to crap on some of the talent in the WWE.

How are we supposed to invest our time and interest on Divas who never win or who never get a bigger opportunity. Summer isn’t the best, but she definitely is not bad whatsoever.

The Main Events

John Cena vs. Big Show ends, thankfully, when Seth Rollins comes down. All hell breaks loose when Cena gets attacked by J and J Security. Rollins brings a ladder in, which prompts Dolph Ziggler to come out. He attacks and then gets knocked out by Big Show’s KO Punch. Big Show gets beaten down and then Erick Rowan comes out to face him. Luke Harper gets involved and then Ryback gets his fill.

Seth Rollins ends the night with a Curb Stomp on John Cena. He clears the announce table off and sets his sights onto John Cena. Powerbomb through the table ends the night.

I am always a fan of WWE tying stories together, especially since The Authority is no longer…kind of. They are still together and acting like a unit. Seth Rollins needed to stand tall to end the night and that is exactly what we got. I really liked the ending because every guy in the singles matches got their quick bit.  They are putting so much emphasis on the young guys, even though Big Show and Kane got their shots in. I can’t see Rowan, Ryback or Cena losing. Is the PPV too predictable? Either way, The Slammy Awards had no splash. They had no meaning aside from remembering how good this year actually has been.

Damn, WWE is really missing Roman Reigns’ star power and Daniel Bryan’s consistency in storyline development.
