An Iconic Debut Ends WWE Survivor Series
The elimination match was great. I really enjoyed everyone’s role in the match. Let’s break it down a little bit.
Mark Henry is the first eliminated, thanks to a Knockout Punch by Big Show. Ryback hits a meathook clothesline and tries for a Shell Shock. Kane comes in with a boot and everyone gets into the ring. Seth Rollins sneaks into the ring and hits a Curb Stomp onto Ryback. Rusev hits a big superkick and Ryback is eliminated.
Kane and Rollins isolate Dolph, while Seth Rollins hits a reverse STO into the turnbuckles and Rusev tags in. Dolph catches him with a diving DDT, then Cena hits an AA before Show connects with a KO punch and Rollins kicks him in the back of the head.
Rusev tries to splash Ziggler, who is on the outside through a table, but misses. Rusev gets counted out. Back into the ring and Seth Rollins hits a Curb Stomp onto John Cena. Rowan and Harper slug it out. Rowan tosses Harper into the corner and hits a big splash. Rowan knocks Kane from the apron. Rowan hits a spin kick and Seth Rollins hits a Drive By. Harper hits a clothesline and eliminates his former partner.
After this, The Big Show gets into the ring. John Cena barely gets up and Big Show turns on Cena. John Cena is eliminated and Big Show shakes hands with Triple H and walks out. It is Dolph Ziggler all by himself. He quickly eliminates Kane with a Zig Zag. It comes down to Ziggler and Rollins. Triple H Pedigrees Dolph Ziggler and a new referee comes out.
The lights go out and Sting makes his WWE debut. Sting makes his way down to the ring and looks eye to eye with Triple H. Sting kicks Triple H in the stomach and then hits a Scorpion Death Drop. He pulls Dolph Ziggler into the cover and Team Cena wins. Sting walks out.
Wow! I really did not know how to react to the rumors of Sting being at WWE Survivor Series. Let’s try to not blow our wad here, but it was an incredible main event and moment to see Sting debut in WWE.
Sting is an Icon, but I do think WWE showed us that the WWE Network will ALWAYS be more important than any superstar. This shows it, by giving Sting to the WWE Universe for the first time for free. Is the element of surprise better than promoting him for a Pay-Per-View and having people buy it to see him?
Dolph Ziggler is the sole survivor and I loved it. He deserves a big moment and it was excellent to see him pick up the win. Yes, he will be overshadowed by the debut of Sting. Anyone or anything would have been overshadowed by him. Ryback was eliminated first from his team… that does not shock me. I hated the Big Show heel turn. He should have just been eliminated in the first place. He is no longer a monster or a giant.
At the end of the day, this leaves so much to be looking forward to in the coming months. Who is in power? What is next for Rollins and Ziggler, who were the stars of the match? Who does Rusev face? Lastly, what does the WWE do with Sting NOW?
