New TNA Tag Team Champions
The Revolution come out and talk about wanting an answer from The Wolves. They come out and say no. Storm comes out and hits him with a chair. They tie them up and James Storm heads up the ramp.
He brings out a briefcase and says the Feast or Fired tag team championship match begins now. James Storm starts the match and gets a two count. James hits Eye of the Storm and out comes Abyss.
Abyss gets into the ring and looks at James Storm. Storm introduces Abyss into The Revolution and tags himself him. Abyss hits a chokeslam and a Black Hole Slam and Storm gets the pinfall. We have new tag team champions, as The Wolves get dominated by The Revolution.
I like this. It may be out of nowhere, but it was unpredictable and really different. It has been so long since James Storm won that briefcase and had a championship match. He sat on that briefcase for so long and his focus on The Wolves finally make sense. Abyss is always better as a heel, similar to Mark Henry in WWE. They are both big guys who can work both ends, but will always be more productive for everyone around them as a natural heel. Well done.
Taryn Terrell defeated Madison Rayne
Madison gets throw to the outside and Taryn gets the upper hand. Rayne gets taken down by a clothesline. Back body drop off the ropes and Rayne brags to the crowd. Rayne drives Terrell into the corner, but she counters with a big clothesline. After some forearm shots, she hits another clothesline and a swinging neckbreaker. Taryn runs right into a boot and Rayne tries to cheat for a victory.
Taryn kicks her in the stomach and a bridging suplex. She misses a cross body from the top, but hits an RKO looking move for the win.
The match had too many stop and go moments. Although the pacing was a little off, Taryn continues to look better in the ring each week, while Madison continues to be very consistent. I wanted to see this match have more big moments. Madison teased the crowd too much. It seemed like after every single move she would turn to the crowd. That really halted a much smoother and effective story in the ring.
Kenny King Wants Chris Melendez
Out comes Kenny King, who hits a promo about Lashley and MVP on the same page. He says that they will be fine and be back together next week. Kenny King gets interrupted by Mr. Anderson and Chris Melendez. Anderson calls him a hero and an inspiration. Kenny King said that he was not talking to Anderson and talks to “peggy.”
Kenny King wants a match against him and says that he wants it one-on-one. Melendez says that the people believe in him and he accepts.
Kenny King is not utilized for his fullest potential. He is really good in all facets. He has crazy athleticism, a great look and can work the microphone very well. I would love to see him be bigger than MVP and re-establish himself as a main player in the X-Division. All that is missing is trying to make him look slightly unique. Give him new tights or an altered gimmick. I liked how Melendez finally spoke up for himself and shied away from Anderson. Let the hero work himself. He needs to get himself over.
