Paige defeated Alicia Fox
Fox kicks Paige onto the ground and Paige knees her in the stomach multiple times. Fox hits a big boot to her face to the outside. Fox applies a headlock and Paige fights out of it. Paige gets hit with a backbreaker and kicks out at two. Paige reverses Fox and hits Paigeturner for the win.
Nothing much to note here aside from the hometown cheer for Paige. I still want to see her used in a big spot on the show, but it might be a few months away for that.
AJ Lee and Nikki Bella will be the primary story. I want AJ Lee to drop the title so others can reach her level.
Plain and simple, she does not need it right now.
Rusev defeated Sheamus
Rusev and Sheamus brawl back and forth in the early going. The Celtic Warrior slugs him in the stomach until Rusev kicks him and then gets kicked in the shoulder. Sheamus hits a high knee and he heads to the outside. Sheamus hits a few chops to his chest and then headbutts Rusev to the outside. Rusev hits a shoulder block into the apron. He tosses Sheamus onto the announce table. Rusev follows it up with a few kicks and a submission hold on the mat. Rusev hits a spinning heel kick and we head to a break.
Sheamus comes alive with a high running knee, but Rusev hits a dropkick. Sheamus counters with a scoop slam and a two count. He hits ten chops and then a battering ram. Rusev rolls out of a move and then Sheamus tries to lock in the Cloverleaf. Rusev hangs Sheamus on the top rope and then gets caught with a White Noise. Sheamus lines him up for a Brogue Kick and Rusev ducks. Sheamus follows with a body splash to the outside. He tosses Rusev to the barricade and Nobel and Mercury attack Sheamus. The referee does not see it and gets counted out.
I hate the ending to this match. Really? Does Rusev need the help of two cruiserweights to beat Sheamus? I really enjoyed this match. It had a really old school feel to it. Sheamus and Rusev put on an old school type match with some great combination of strength and slow paced action with a few athletic spots. Rusev is really good in every facet. Sheamus is easily one of the most underrated guys inside the ring. Either way, I think this feud continues for at least another month. I want to see more of a personality from both men. Give me a reason to invest in them personally.
The Miz and Damien Mizdow defeated Los Matadores
Fernando hits a rolling senton and then The Miz hits a backbreaker into a neckbreaker combinaton. Miz gets the crowd behind him and then kicks Fernando. Finally, Mizdow gets into the ring and Miz tags himself back in. Diego hits a flying elbow and then connects with a hurricanranna. Mizdow saves the day by breaking up the pinfall. Miz hits a big kick and then his mini-Miz stunt double gets taken out by El Torito. Diego tries a suplex and Miz reverses it for Mizdow to hold his foot down and pick up the win.
Miz and Mizdow work really well together. Is this the beginning of a split? How long will WWE turn a cheek for the crowd actually want Damien over The Miz? I like this tag team, as long as they finally give Damien a chance inside the ring. He is a really good performer in the ring and has a great connection with the crowd. Either way, this tag team has potential.
