Dolph Ziggler defeated Kane in a Cage Match

smackdown reactionKane tries to hit Dolph with a chokeslam, but he floats over him and jumps onto the cage. Kane catches him and punches him before hitting a chokeslam. He calls for a Tombstone but Dolph counters with a Zig Zag. Dolph Ziggler tries to crawl to the door in hopes to escape. Kane grabs his leg and Dolph begins to kick him. Kane takes off the turnbuckle pad and throws Dolph to it. 

Kane blocks the door so Dolph climbs over him. Kane kicks the door into Dolph’s stomach and leaves him hung up on the door, but Dolph kicks it back into Kane’s face and escapes for the victory.

Another cage match without a great spot. The match was booked a little better for me than what kicked off Smackdown. I liked how Ziggler worked with Kane. Usually I am the first one to bash Kane, but he did his due diligence tonight. Kane can still go and his character can be productive, but his size difference means nothing now.

Dolph Ziggler needed to win. Without John Cena and Randy Orton, a face needed to stand tall against The Authority. The logical build to the conclusion of the match made complete sense. Ziggler did all he could to survive and he ended up victorious. Kane was not pinned. He did not submit. He was outsmarted.
