WWE Tag Team Championship Cage Match
Smackdown Reaction starts with a cage match between these two great tag teams. Jey throws Goldust into the cage and splashes them in opposite corners. Jey tries for a Samoan drop but Stardust counters, so Jey superkicks him into the cage
Jey and Goldust climb to the top and fight while Stardust and Jimmy are on the opposite turnbuckles, then Jimmy hits a superplex as Jey shoves Stardust. Jey hits Goldust with a top rope splash and goes for the cover, but Stardust rolls in and hooks the tights for the win.
A few things bothered me here. First, why was it a Steel Cage match if there wasn’t a focus on the actual cage? Cages are used too much to make it feel like an important and different match. It rarely seems that way anymore. I wanted to see more big splash moments from these tag teams and wanted to see them put it all out there. Yes, there were some good spots. The good spots are things we could have seen without the cage surrounding them. Gold and Stardust are great champions, but the repetition of these matches are starting to bother me. They are booked too similar almost all the time. Give me fresh and give me some evolution in the characters of Jimmy and Jey.
Cesaro Will Always Be Better Than Ryback
This might come off as me being a fan of Cesaro and I hope it does. Cesaro is trying to impress The Authority. Ryback is the obvious face here and Cesaro is basically jobbing to Ryback in hopes to get him over even more since his return. I have nothing against Ryback personally, but why in the hell would WWE want to push him over a pure athlete, someone who won the crowd over time and time again because of his work ethic and desire to be excellent in the ring? Is it because Ryback looks better? I would beg to differ because Cesaro is a beast and does not look roided out of his mind. I love the Cesaro look in the ring and it shows that he WANTS to be better than anyone else.
Give me a reason why Ryback is going to be pushed harder than Cesaro. I am speechless.
R-Truth defeated Adam Rose
The match was purely to be focused on The Bunny costing Adam Rose the match. Rose would slam The Bunny on the ground after the match and then seemingly turn on him. The Bunny would get up and not realize what happened, walking away and dancing with Rose.
Do we really care to see The Bunny and Adam Rose? I want to know your thoughts…Is there a way to fix Adam Rose? There is no doubt that the guy can actually wrestle. We have seen him in a ring time and time again and perform at a high level. I just feel like WWE does not know how to use him. It is never as simple as say to turn him heel and see what happens…or is it?
