Title This: Impact Wrestling Reaction “Hardy’s and Havok Highlight Night”

The Hardy’s defeated Samoa Joe and Low Ki

impact wrestling reactionBoth teams try to feel each other out from the get go. Ki chops Matt in the chest and Matt fires back with some elbows to his face. Jeff gets into the ring and kicks him in the corner. Jeff hits a dropkick and the pace fastens. Matt and Jeff exchange numerous tags to stay fresh. They hit a double team takeover. Joe gets into the ring and cleans it of Matt and Jeff. Jeff is able to counter and hit Whisper in the Wind. Ki and Matt get tagged in and Matt quickly takes him down with clotheslines. Low Ki gets hit with a Side Effect.

Matt hits a combination clothesline and bulldog for another two count. He focuses on Ki and hits a suplex. Matt heads up top and Ki hangs him up on the rope. Ki has Matt in the Tree of Woe and Ki hits a Warrior’s Way foot stomp. Jeff breaks up the pinfall. He hits a front suplex and the brothers work together.

Matt hits Twist of Fate and Joe breaks it up. Joe gets kicked and locks in the submission hold. Jeff hits Swanton Bomb and takes out Matt as well. All men are down and the end is near. Low Ki tries to cradle Jeff and he hits a spinning kick. Jeff goes up top and hits Swanton Bomb and Matt hits the moonsault for the win.

Excellent tag team action to start Impact Wrestling. I loved the pacing of this match and how smooth every single move was. There was no glitch and no botches, which is sometimes hard with such talented athletes. Matt and Jeff continue to evolve, while keeping traditions of their signature moves. Matt and Jeff picked up the win and move on in the tournament. There was really nothing to complain about. It was just great wrestling and a compelling beginning to the night.

Samuel Shaw and Gunner Continue Feud

Shaw and Brittany come out and talk about what happened last week. Brittany says that she can give him whatever he wants and that Gunner was never his friend. She licks his face and they begin to make out in the middle of the ring. Gunner comes out and says that Sam Shaw wanted to be Gunner, and he is a creepy bastard. Gunner attacks and Brittany jumps on his back. Shaw low blows him and then he puts black gloves on and chokes him out.

Shaw is certainly creepy. I see a problem with this feud. Neither guy has reached a really high part in their careers yet in TNA, which makes me believe that this feud will fall flat. Neither guy has been able to carry a feud by themselves. Shaw has had guys like Anderson and Gunner has had many veterans helping him out. Not that they can’t, but I want to see them paired against guys who are more experienced than just a random storyline thrown together for the hell of it.
