Rusev Wins Again… So What is Next?
Rusev easily beats The Great Khali in about a minute. Lana talks about how Russia told them to destroy more of the American spirit. Rusev talks about beating the best and strongest Americans. Rusev calls out Sheamus and says that he will become champion. He talks about giving the championship title to Vladimir Putin.
Sheamus comes out and says he has been looking forward to this fight. Sheamus accepts and this should be done at one place…
WWE needs to put Sheamus vs. Rusev at Survivor Series. They need to see a big championship change at the event since there is no WWE Championship. I have been BEGGING for this feud and think that WWE could really make a huge step forward for both men.
Sheamus is doing nothing with the title and Rusev NEEDS it. Rusev grabs the United States Championship and controls it for a long time. You do not need him to be in the main event to be relevant right now. It is too crowded.
Bray Wyatt Speaks on Dean Ambrose
Bray Wyatt says Dean Ambrose is different. He says he wears his mask as his face every single day. He says the people do not understand and is different. Wyatt compares himself to Ambrose and then says that Ambrose is immortal in the moment where he was beating Rollins. Bray Wyatt says that his sins will stain him forever.
Excellent promo from Wyatt. I like how he is not really attacking Ambrose’s character more than he is admiring it. I want to see WWE really go above and beyond with this feud. There cannot be just promo after promo. There needs to be pre-recorded vignettes. I want to see how creative they can get. Think about them chasing one another in the woods, in a mental institution. I think American Horror Story things. The only problem is that it’s PG!
Dean Ambrose defeated Cesaro
Cesaro attacks him with a Kendo Stick and takes a bunch of pumpkins in the middle of the ring. Ambrose tosses Cesaro to the outside and Cesaro hits him in the leg with the Kendo Stick. Cesaro catches Ambrose in mid air and thrown across the announce table. They get back into the ring and is tossed into the pumpkins. Ambrose clotheslines him to the outside and Cesaro uses the kendo again. Ambrose uses a skeleton and Cesaro hits a suplex. Ambrose is able to connect with his finisher to finally wrap this match up.
This was a throw away main event. I really wish it was not all about the pumpkins and candy on the outside, but sometimes you just have to sit back and find positives. The positives of Smackdown were that new feuds began and continued. There was a nice balance of progression and fun with the holiday. Things are looking up for many talents on the WWE roster.
