Stephanie Tries To Lure John Cena
John Cena comes out and talks about sending a statement to Brock Lesnar. He talks about winning last night and that he will go through Seth Rollins tonight. Stephanie McMahon comes out to interrupt John Cena. She says that he panders to the crowd and asks if he hears the fans say that he sucks.
McMahon says that her point is that she wants him to do what is best for business. She says that the people do not matter. Stephanie says that John Cena could join The Authority. She says that they could offer insurance and offer a victory. She says that he deserves the respect and to be a part of the family.
John Cena says all he deserves is a chance to come down and do what he loves. Cena says that the fans show up because they are a part of this. Stephanie says that they can insure his legacy for the rest of his life. He answers her question and says hell no.
Cue Triple H, who comes down to the ring. He calls John Cena a hero and says it gets harder every single year. He says that Cena is barely starting to get by each week and hang on by a thread. Triple H says the business is about longevity. Triple H says that he cannot stop the future.
The segment went pretty long, but I do think there is plenty to be excited about. First, the match for Survivor Series will have Team Authority vs. Team Cena. They try to turn Cena, which is just a ploy for them to make a match at the event in November. This promo just shows you how good of a heel Stephanie McMahon is.
Who else will join The Authority aside from Seth and Kane? Do you add Triple H? Do you reach out and recruit more members? This ensures me that John Cena may not get his championship match until Royal Rumble in January. If Lesnar does not wrestle at Survivor Series, I cannot see him being used at TLC. TLC, much like Hell in a Cell, sells itself.
The Uso’s defeated The Miz and Damien Mizdow
Miz gets into the ring and gets chopped in the neck and kicked by Jey Uso. He sends Miz to the outside and then Mizdow pretends like he is down too. The Uso’s fly to the outside and are in full control. Mizdow gets into the ring and applies a headlock. Mizdow hits a sitdown DDT. Miz gets into the ring and kicks Jimmy on the mat. Jey Uso hits a missle dropkick and Jimmy get the hot tag. Jimmy and Miz enter.
Jimmy hits two clotheslines and then a kick to his stomach. He hits a Samoan Drop and gets a two count after a cross body. Mizdow saves the match with a kick to his face. Jimmy rolls to the outside and Jey rolls in. They steal a win.
Jimmy and Jey pull a fast one of The Miz and his stunt double. While I understand what happened, I have never been a fan of the twins pulling this. It seems so fake and more like a heel move over something a face should do. The match was very average, but I do see potential in a tag team between Miz and Mizdow. They need to tone down Mizdow just a little to make it more realistic. With a depleted tag team division, I am all for building new teams.
