Title This: WWE Hell in a Cell Reaction “WWE Knows It Needs to Move Forward with Young Stars”

AJ Lee Defeated Paige to Retain The Divas Championship

Paige kicks AJ and then hits her in the face. Lee battles back with a spinning heel kick and Paige retreats to the outside. AJ Lee attacks Alicia Fox and then chases Paige. Paige spins AJ into the barricade and then begins to laugh and taunt her in the ring.  AJ Lee is able to battle back with a neckbreaker and a kick to the stomach. Paige catches her with a kick to the face. AJ hits a Tornado DDT and another two count.

AJ slows down the pace and locks in a choke hold. She hits a Fallaway Slam. Both Divas head to the outside and Paige gets hung up n the barricade. She hits her neck and Fox puts her on the ring. AJ lee applies Black Widow and picks up the win.

It seemed like the ending was a little slow to execute. I really did not like the ending and thought the match itself was just okay. There was nothing convincing from either Diva in the match to make it memorable. Paige slaps Alicia Fox in the face and says it is her fault. Does this split them up? Yes. Does Paige vs. AJ Lee need another match? Not necessarily, even though Paige needs to be champion more than AJ does.

Seth Rollins Defeated Dean Ambrose

Dean Ambrose climbs up the cage to start the match. Seth Rollins tells Joey Mercury and Jamie Noble to go up and get him. He hits both men with a kendo stick. Rollins climbs up and attacks Ambrose. Ambrose hits a suplex onto Noble and Ambrose eyes up Seth Rollins. Both men exchange punches while climbing down the cell. Both men fall and crash through the announce tables. Stretchers come out and both men are wheeled out. Ambrose gets up and begins to attack Seth Rollins. He throws Rollins into the cell. He hits Rollins’ head into the cell door. The cell gets locked and here we go. The match officially starts.

Dean Ambrose uses chair shots to get the upper hand on Seth Rollins. Ambrose hits a dropkick, which springboards Rollins into the cell. Ambrose clubs Rollins to the outside and then hits a Suicide Dive. Rollins is finally able to get some offense in with a backbreaker onto a pile of chairs. Dean Ambrose sets up Rollins on a table and hits an elbow drop from the top rope. Kane appears and blinds Ambrose with a fire extinguisher. Rollins is able to hit a running powerbomb through a table. He hits a Curb Stomp and gets a two count. Rollins gets knocked out with his briefcase, but somehow kicks out. Ambrose finds some cinder blocks underneath the ring. The lights go out and it is pitch black. There is a lantern in the middle of the ring and a ghost appearing. Bray Wyatt attacks Dean Ambrose. Seth Rollins picks up the win.

The spot to kick off the match was incredible. It had shades of Shawn Michaels at the first Hell in a Cell. I though that the spot would have been better about 10-15 minutes in because the match started off so slow. It needed to be a physical and intense bout, not a technical one.  WWE did not give them much of any technicality. It got better as the match went one and was extremely entertaining. The return of Bray Wyatt helps save Seth Rollins from a loss and helps him make a huge impact upon his return. My only issue is that Dean Ambrose was put through so many big spots and the one that made him lose was a glorified Rock Bottom.

I am all for this feud, but it could have begun tomorrow night. WWE gives their young guys the rub in the main event and continues to give the WWE Universe what they want. To me, it is all about the theatrics and WWE did a great job at keeping a story and feud open. Do I wish there was some conclusion of Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins before a new feud begins? Yes, but they protected guys and the main event showed that WWE knows they need to move forward with their young stars.
