Roman Reigns defeated Seth Rollins
Seth Rollins starts it off by hanging Reigns up on the top rope. Reigns begins to fight back and then Rollins fights out of a Samoan Drop. Roman Reigns drags Seth to the outside and drives his spine into the apron and barricade. Roman sends Rollins over the announce table and we head to break.
Roman Reigns ducks a kick and hits a side suplex. He gets another two count and begins to become a little bit frustrated. Reigns hits his patented kick and sets up a Superman Punch. He connects and awaits for a Spear. Seth jumps over Reigns and then connects with an INCREDIBLE kick to his jaw. Reigns kicks out at two. Rollins climbs to the top and Reigns meets him there. He tries a superplex and ends up having Rollins hit him with a corner powerbomb. Reigns hits a head butt only to have multiple kicks exploded on him. Reigns ducks a Curb Stomp and hits a spear for the win.
This was an excellent, Pay-Per-View quality match. I question why WWE gave this to us for free on Raw less than a week before their encounter on Sunday. It will be hard to match this match. They gave us a very good match and showcased more offensive skills for Roman Reigns. People should not question him in the ring. He did have Seth Rollins with him, but he held his own and them some. They do have some room to make their rematch even better on Sunday and I expect them to.
Mark Henry Rallies America
Mark Henry is interviewed by Michael Cole and talks about getting a second chance to prove to America that he can represent his country. Lana comes out and says all that he speaks is nonsense and he avoids the facts.
Lana talks about how Mark Henry lost in the 1992 Olympics and that he avoided to tell everyone that he lost to a Russian. Lana talks about how he cowers in fear like President Obama does. She shows Putin to a round of boos. Mark Henry makes a pledge and says the Pledge of Allegiance. Rusev interrupts and both men fight away. Henry catches Rusev and sends him across the ring. Rusev hits a big kick and Lana yells for him to crush. He tries for the Accolade and Henry powers out of it. He plants him with a double chokeslam powerbomb and then tosses him out of the ring.
This was the best part of their feud so far, but still could have been better. Swap this with the match right before and I am a happy camper. I just do not like that Raw ends with the fourth most interesting match at Night of Champions on Sunday. It was the same segment that we have seen over the past two months from Rusev and Lana. Where is the progression?
