Stardust and Goldust defeated The Uso’s
Jey Uso and Goldust start off fast. Jey hits a few arm drags to get his offense going. Goldust runs towards him, but is caught with a submission hold. Jimmy gets into the ring and they isolate the older brother. Alas, Stardust gets into the ring. He hits a blinded clothesline and then is caught by Jimmy. The champions work on Stardust and hit a backbreaker. He hits another backbreaker another two count. As Stardust is trying to tag in Goldust, he floats over and ends up rolling up the champion for a victory.
The match was booked for Stardust and Goldust to pick up a cheap win. I wanted to like this match, but it never got out of the gates for me. It was too mechanical and too slow. There was not enough spots in the match. The best move was a few backbreakers.
Rusev’s Next Feud
Mark Henry is next to face off against Rusev. Mark Henry talks about how he represented the USA twice in the Olympics. Henry says it got under his skin that the Russian Flag was raised in his country. Henry yells at Lana and says that the power in America is gone. Henry says that none of the people think so. He tells Rusev he is going to give him a tour into the Hall of Pain. Rusev and Henry exchange some blows back and forth. Henry hits World’s Strongest Slam and Rusev is down.
Excellent. It did not get as much crowd reaction from Zeb and Lana, but this feud is going to be more about Rusev. Lana will always be there, but Rusev is going to get a big chance here against a veteran who knows how to work a mic and knows how to sell a move. This could be really good or really average. I do not expect it being a let down for Rusev’s future.
