I believe this may be one of the best matches to have ever ended in disqualification, which is a pretty major disappointment, but you have to admit that two of the best ever put on an absolute clinic prior to the finish. This was during the days of the Invasion, where every match featured “WWF stars” against “ECW stars” and “WCW stars”. The quotation marks are because, if you remember, by the end of that program most of the ECW and WCW representatives were just WWF stars the company wanted to put over. In what other universe is “Stone Cold” a WCW star?
Also, can we reflect on the comedy gold that was the Austin and Angle rivalry?
