WWE could easily make a 3-disc collection of Chris Jericho‘s best matches, ranging from his early days in WCW alongside all-time great opponents like Dean Melenko and Ultimo Dragon, to his WWF debut on classic rivalries with The Rock and Triple H, to some of his more modern 4-star affairs with Rey Mysterio and CM Punk.
Since his first match with Bray Wyatt is coming up next Sunday at WWE Battleground, and since Y2J is one of my favorite pro wrestlers in history, I decided to put together a list of my personal favorite matches. So after a nostalgic 20-hour+ trip through the WWE Network, I wrote down about 40 possible contenders. In the end I decided to narrow down the criteria, getting rid of multi-man matches to allow his in-ring work to shine on its own, and focusing only on his PPV classics, since there are far too many episodes of Monday Night Raw and Nitro to ever complete a list like this.
Another decision I made was to only allow a maximum of TWO matches from ONE opponent on the list. Otherwise half this list would be Chris Jericho vs. Shawn Michaels.
So here we go – Chris Jericho’s All-Time Greatest PPV Singles Matches!
