#9 – Layla
I’m a big fan of Layla, and it’s sad to think that at 37-years-old her time in the ring is probably winding down. But seriously – she looks GREAT for 37. She looks great for 27.
Over the past few years she’s been one of the most consistent Divas in the ring, and has proven her worth as a heel both as a singles star and as a member of Lay-Cool from 2009-2011. She’s certainly come along way from winning the Divas Search and choreographing dance routines for the ECW Extreme Expose.
These days Layla isn’t a huge part of the WWE product, but she has found herself a nice little role as Fandango’s new dancer. It’s a role that actually fits her well, although Fandango is hardly Kanye West or John Legend. I might put him on par with the Miami Heat after this year’s NBA Finals though. It’s really cool to see Layla and Summer Rae getting weekly on-screen time on Raw, Smackdown and Main Event, and most recently on actual PPV. They’re not the primary Divas feud, and with the Funkadactyls split you could make a case their not even the secondary Divas feud. So it’s extra cool (you might even say…Lay-Cool…) that she still finds a way to get on television, and become a part of a pretty entertaining, albeit minor program.
