#4 – Big Show
This may not be the most popular decision, but I've always been a big fan of super heavyweights in ladder matches. Big Show made his Money in the Bank debut in 2010, after WWE gave the gimmick its very own PPV, and immediately made a giant impression. While most ladder match participants use high-flying maneuvers and pre-scripted spots to shock and amaze the fans, Big Show stood apart by simply wrecking all of his opponents using his massive size advantage. First he "broke" a regular ladder, then used the pieces to assault everyone else in the match. Not being able to climb them, he used the ladders to splash people into turnbuckles or squish them into the mat. Plus, who could forget the "super ladder"?!? In a world primarily dominated and pioneered by light heavyweights, Big Show brought a unique element to the match.
#3 – Matt Hardy
The original "V1" is one of the many tag team innovators of the ladder match, stealing more shows than most of today's mid-card talents combined – he's also one of the best performers in Money in the Bank history. Hardy has always been the kind of Superstar to put his body on the line for the sake of a great reaction from the fans. Because of this he's taken perhaps more bumps off ladders than any man in history – his brother might edge him out – and that includes 20-foot superplexes, hip tosses, leg drops, splashes, Side Effects, and more. More than just dangerous bumps, Matt made a surprise return at WrestleMania 24 after spending almost five months on the shelf, attacking MVP and reigniting one of the most underrated feuds in Smackdown history.
