Wrestlezone’s Top 10 Greatest Money in the Bank Ladder Match Performers

Honorable Mentions

Everyone involved in the Smackdown brand ladder match at Money in the Bank 2011 deserves an honorable mention. This match was filled with Superstars who were NEVER going to win – Sin Cara, Justin Gabriel, Heath Slater – but everyone went out there and put forth their best effort. Everyone came out of the match looking like a star, drawing a "this is awesome" chant from the fans, and a shout-out on this list.

money-in-the-bank-briefcase1Chris Jericho: Apparently Chris Jericho created the Money in the Bank ladder match, but that doesn't necessarily mean he's the greatest star to ever step foot in one. He's been in four over the course of his career, and while Y2J never had a bad performance – has he ever? – he's also never stolen the show.

Jeff Hardy: Remember that one time Jeff Hardy jumped off a 20-foot ladder and put himself and Edge through…another ladder?

Ric Flair: In only the second Money in the Bank ladder match at WrestleMania 22, the then 57-year-old "Nature Boy" took an epic bump, allowing Matt Hardy to superplex him off a huge ladder, all the way down to the mat. He then went out on a stretcher, but waltzed back down to the ring a few minutes later to a warm reaction from the fans.

John Morrison: Ladder-sault.

CM Punk: The only two-time Money in the Bank ladder match winner (Edge won his second from Ken Anderson after WrestleMania) and he's not even on the top ten list. Why? Well… He may have won back-to-back ladder matches, but he wasn't incredibly impressive in either.
