Mike Killam Incorrectly Predicts the Future: What Should & Probably Won’t Happen at WWE Money in the Bank, Battleground & SummerSlam

There's a lot of assuming going around the internet today. Here's what almost everyone I've talked to believes will happen at WWE Money in the Bank this Sunday night, and beyond:

  • John Cena will become a 15-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion.
  • Seth Rollins will win Money in the Bank
  • Brock Lesnar will challenge John Cena for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at SummerSlam.

That last "prediction" comes after a potential spoiler, in the form of a SummerSlam poster that features – you guessed it – both Brock Lesnar and John Cena.

The only catch is: PPV posters literally mean nothing. The 2011 Capitol Punishment poster featured John Cena, Rey Mysterio and Barack Obama – Cena was in the main event of almost everything at that point, and his match had nothing to do with Rey Rey (or Obama). In 2012 when the Brock Lesnar vs. John Cena match actually happened, they made up a last-minute poster featuring the two mega-stars, but the poster they put out months in advance – and I know this because I got a signed copy at the arena, because I was there for the show – featured Kane, who wrestled an undercard match against Randy Orton. Big Show and Hornswoggle have been on a Money in the Bank poster, guys!

Sometimes posters are relevant, and sometimes they aren't. Even in this case, if that match is "set it in stone" for August's PPV, nobody ever said it had to be for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

So here's a list of my predictions for not only Money in the Bank, but next month's Battleground PPV, and SummerSlam. It's worth pointing out that I'm almost always wrong.
