You Have Spoken – Wrestlezone’s Top 10 Things Our Readers Want to See From Jeff Jarrett’s Global Force Wrestling Promotion

#8 – Women's Wrestling

One of the biggest requests – both in terms of which stars people want to see, and what they want out of GFW overall – was women's wrestling. Most of the people that gave that answer went on to express sentiments like "wrestling skill over beauty" and "we want real workers not models". I have long since said there is money to be made from women in wrestling, that know how to actually wrestle. I don't think a single person took our survey to say, "what I really want is a nice ass to stare at while she makes a mockery out of the industry I love."

Mickie James pregnantSo let's talk personnel. Mickie James would be a good steal if and when she recovers from having a child and wants to get back into the ring. I don't know what Beth Phoenix is doing these days, other than having a child with Edge, but the same thing applies to her. Awesome Kong isn't working for any major company, and that is a crime. Gail Kim has done just about everything she can in TNA – that said, so have the Beautiful People and they're still making it work.

I think the pairing of Maria Kanellis and Mike Bennett would be good for any young promotion, because they are a power couple you could build the future around, both from the men's and women's side of wrestling. You're not going to build a future around Matt Hardy necessarily, but he and Reby Sky are a decent act and a package duo I could see being useful to the GFW brand.

Serena Deeb is another great pick that never went far enough in WWE, and hasn't been given a chance in TNA. But my #1 draft pick absolutely must be Candice LaRae, who has proven over the past year that she can get into the ring with anybody, man or woman, and steal the show. Her and Joey Ryan are another package deal that could do wonders for any promotion, and should be hired immediately.
