#10 – CM Punk
Technically by the numbers he should be higher on this list, but I wanted to get CM Punk out of the way early on. I think we all know the likelihood that the Straight Edge Savior shows up in Global Force Wrestling. For a guy like Punk, who was at one point the #2 guy in a billion dollar company, it's hard to imagine a return to wrestling for anybody that isn't Vince McMahon.
Now, that's because nobody else in wrestling has deep pockets like Vince McMahon has deep pockets. Punk is a millionaire because of the WWE. More importantly he knows the value of his brand. Unless the Jarretts dig real deep and come up with a few million dollars to spare, CM Punk doesn't leave Chicago.
And that's OK! There are still a lot of unknown factors in GFW that make it hard to tell if a star the size of CM Punk is even worth bringing in. The number one factor is how big their television deal will be. If they make it on a station like CMT or Spike TV – a network that can put them in tens of millions of homes across the country – then it's probably worth it. But if it ends up being a smaller deal like Ring of Honor, where people don't even know if the promotion runs in their area, it's a waste of money.
There's also something to be said about how many other people Jeff Jarrett can pay with the money he'd spend on CM Punk.
