4/20 Wrestlezone Recap: New WWE Logo, Sting Debuts on the Network, Vince Russo in TNA, Ring of Honor Coming to PPV & More

TNA News

kenneth cameronThe TNA Sacrifice card looks just about complete for next week's return to PPV. Eric Young defends against former champion Magnus in their obligatory rematch, Bobby Roode and Bully Ray will attempt putting each other through a table, James Storm vs. Gunner in an "I Quit" match, and Kurt Angle returns to action. Plus Jeff Hardy as Willow, a Knockouts Championship match and more.

TNA President Dixie Carter tweeted a photo of Eric Young in 2006, 2011 and now, with the caption "My Intillectual Property". The actual tweet said "I invented all the things you love" with a shout-out to the #YES movement. Obviously Madam Dixie heard the frustration from the internet and decided to strap on the heel gimmick for social media. Everyone trying to overanalyze it needs to remember that Dixie is a character, and everything you see coming out of wrestling is at least a little bit of a work.

Reports are confirming what I've known for over a month now – Vince Russo is working as a consultant for TNA. That really doesn't mean as much as you think it does. Vince isn't in control of TNA creative – he's not even a staff member. From what I've heard from my sources, he's just submitting some ideas, telling Big John what he thinks of certain angles, and trying to help the promotion. And for what it's worth, that company could do a lot worse than Vince Russo.
