#1 – Hulk Hogan
There is no WrestleMania without Hulk Hogan. Plain and simple. He's #1 on this list because it was the popularity of Hulk Hogan that pushed Vince McMahon's global expansion that became the WWE empire we know and love today. The success of WrestleMania and the success of Hulk Hogan go hand-in-hand. You cannot have one without the other.
Mr. T and the Ultimate Warrior are both going into the Hall of Fame this year? You know what they have in common? The same thing that Roddy Piper, Andre the Giant, Randy Savage, Sgt. Slaughter, King Kong Bundy, Ted DiBiase, Yokozuna and many more have in common. They all stepped into the ring with Hulk Hogan at WrestleMania. For the first nine years, Hogan was there for every single main event. Before there was a Royal Rumble or the Survivor Series, there was Hulk Hogan at WrestleMania.
Hulk Hogan will return to the event he helped create this year for WrestleMania XXX. It's a good thing. He should be there. Creating the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal is a nice touch. It honors the legacy of the event itself, while giving a spotlight to the Superstars to come.
