#7 – Brie Bella vs. Stephanie McMahon
OK, so maybe this wouldn't have been the technical bout of the century, but the build-up could have been there. If WWE hadn't waited until three weeks before WrestleMania to build up any heel heat for The Authority – and even then – they could have banked on the real-life relationship between Daniel Bryan and Brie Bella to tell another story at this year's PPV. It's just incredibly off-putting to me that Brie Bella, who we know from Total Divas is engaged to Bryan, is seen smiling and laughing when involved in Divas segments, just a week after her husband-to-be is brutally assaulted by Triple H and Stephanie McMahon.
If you want me to suspend my disbelief, do a better job of securing continuity.
This "match" wouldn't have to take up much time on the WrestleMania card – they could have done it on Raw and taken up no time at all, in fact. But they should have done SOMETHING with Brie Bella. I suppose it might be interesting to have Brie win the Divas Championship in New Orleans, and show WWE's power couple with two titles on Raw the next night. It could happen.
