3/24 Wrestlezone Recap: New WrestleMania XXX Main Event, Rey Mysterio’s Future, Shane McMahon as WWE CEO?, AJ Styles to New Japan & More

Get Ready to Fly

roh tv tapingAJ Styles has reportedly signed a deal with New Japan Pro Wrestling. The deal will likely be for one year, with potential for more later on down the road. Interesting timing, as Styles has been working for Ring of Honor, who is in the midst of planning two huge events with NJPW. This is a great business move for AJ, who has worked with most of the non-WWE big names in the United States over the past decade. Outside of the current crop in ROH, there's very little he has left to do on the home front.

Scott Hall of Fame

Scott Hall has been a rumored inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame for months now, but apparently it's about to become a reality. We should get the official word on Monday Night Raw tonight. I always thought they'd put in Kevin Nash before Razor Ramon, as he's good friends with Triple H, but in no way am I complaining. Scott is one of my favorites from his era of wrestling, and did a lot for the success of WCW Nitro during the Monday Night Wars. It's the perfect end to a great story of Scott's redemption over the past two years. From heartbreaking ESPN documentary and hopeless addiction, to the WWE Hall of Fame and clean living in just two years. It's a nice story.

No More Baby Oil!?

Apparently NXT Superstars can't use baby oil on television – or rather, the WWE Network – as officials don't think it looks good in HD. In other news, you'll never see Randy Orton anywhere near NXT ever again.
