Stars in Progress: The McMahons Sell RAW, ‘Attitude’ Enthusiasts, Wyatt/Cena Deliver, What Happened To Cody & Goldust?

The McMahons – One Step Up

stars in progress"Nothing but boo's in that closing segment. Pure hatred. No dueling chants. CLEAR Good guy and CLEAR bad guy. It's called pro wrestling folks" — Mike Bennett via Twitter.

These days, with fans' (lack of) attention span, that's not quite as easy to accomplish as Bennett makes it sound. However, it's hard to argue anything else about his opinion of RAW's final moments.

The new Vince McMahon and his wife put it over the top. They put the entire night over the top. And they've done that exact thing two weeks in a row now. Credit to Daniel Bryan too, but his job was easy. It hurt like hell, I'm sure, but it was easy.

If you aren't ready for 'WrestleMania de Bryan' after Monday, I'm not sure you ever will be. All cylinders are firing in perfect unison right now and the climax, albeit predictable, is exactly what it should be.

That's actually what scares me though. Predictability appears to be Vince's worst nightmare at times, and logic and reason are often sacrificed just to "get one over" on the fans. Daniel Bryan going over Triple H in a brutal match gives them an out if they want to go with Batista in the main event, but that's simply not the WrestleMania moment everyone is longing to see.

Vince is aware of that, but does he care? I want to be convinced he does, but ask me again at midnight on April 6th — I might have a different answer.
