Bray Wyatt vs The Shield – One Step Up
Why not list it as "The Wyatts" or "The Wyatt Family? Because when it comes to who and what fans actually care about in this feud, I don't think Rowan or Harper contribute enough. They are simply there to make Bray look better, whereas all three members of The Shield have unique and individual qualities.
Let me just say that their RAW encounter was one of the best segments I've seen in months and months. It was absolutely incredible to watch.
The crowd reacted exactly as they should, and credit should be given to the wrestlers for that. With so many unruly audiences WWE has to deal with these days, it's saying something when you can create that type of an emotional connection.
Bray Wyatt is currently my favorite character on TV right now. Like..in ALL of television. He's flawless and spot-on, week in and week out. There literally are no flaws in his game right now.
I was just talking to a former creative writer yesterday, and he said that Wyatt should be doing movies instead of wrestling. Hollywood's loss is certainly our gain, so I couldn't necessarily agree with him there, but I do agree that Wyatt "could" be doing movies. He's THAT good.
All of the buzz and speculation surrounding Roman Reigns and his WWE future is understandable, but a bit premature. I certainly agree that there's potential for a major breakout star, but I can see the same possibility for Dean Ambrose. What happened to all the hype around that guy? His best work has yet to be seen too.
Then, there's Rollins…
I'm ready to see The Shield and Bray take it to the next level now. They've definitely sucked us in, but it's time they start blowing our minds. If given enough time, they're certainly capable. But my concern is that Elimination Chamber might be a one-and-done scenario for these two groups facing off. And that's going to be a real shame if it is.
Of course, after RAW on Monday, Vince might just decide to prolong it to Mania. I won't be disappointed if he does.
