Miz/Dolph Zigger – One Step Delayed
Dolph is excellent. You all know my feelings about that. Miz hasn't been relevant for a long time. Together, I'm undecided.
However, both of these guys are falling victim to WWE's desperate overreactions right now. Dolph cuts a WWE.com promo, posed as a shoot, claiming he's the best and is being held down. Miz then comes out on RAW wondering why Titus has a spot and he doesn't. He's being held down, too!
This all going on while Daniel Bryan has an entire storyline that's based around him being held back by "the machine". Then there's Punk, who actually left the company completely because he didn't like how he was being used. (Injuries? Pft.)
I guess WWE's mindset is if it worked in "real life" for Bryan and Punk, then surely they can manufacture the same results with others, right? 100-percent, unequivocally no. You can't manufacture organic emotions.
I could see fans buying into Ziggler that way. Not Miz though. He doesn't fit that "smart mark "criteria. And, let's be honest, they're the ones causing all of this.
If Miz and Dolph are actually being considered for a tag team, I might be okay with that. But I absolutely HATE the way they're starting it. Again, it reeks of desperation.
