Dixie CarterDixie Carter – One Step Up

As the TNA and Dixie Carter bashwagon seem to take more and more laps with each passing week, I find it a good time to praise TNA's President for the good things she's done.

There aren't many bright spots behind the scenes, and I won't try to make any up, but in front of the camera, Dixie is fantastic. When the "hick shtick", as I like to call it, is toned down, she's really a solid heel, especially in the authoritative role. It's believable.

Spud is a little over-the-top for my taste, but even he fits the gimmick.

Dixie gets a lot of heat for what she's done or hasn't done with the company, but I respect her for putting her neck out there publicly. Being in front of cameras and delivering consistently is not easy, especially in pro wrestling where the characters and stories are more intense than most. Carter seems to be a natural, and she's one of the more enjoyable qualities of Impact these days.
