The Undercard

wwe smackdown reactionR-Truth defeated Fandango when Cameron and Naomi came out and distracted Fandango. The match was average between two guys who are lost in the shuffle. Between both men, I see more of a future for Fandango. It seems like Fandango continues to add new moves to his arsenal each week. This week, he hit a unique spinning heel kick onto Truth. When I watch Truth, it seems like K-Kwik had the same exact style. He needs to add more moves to make himself less of a predictability in the ring. I am not sure why Fandango lost this match. He challenged for the IC title a week ago. Now, he loses to Truth.

Grade: C

Cody Rhodes and Goldust defeated Luke Harper and Erick Rowan . With the tag titles on the line, it was all about protecting both teams. When the title change happens, it needs to be on Pay-Per-View. Rhodes and Goldust continue to be the most efficient team in the WWE. Harper really carried the action in this match, isolating Goldust first and then being able to do the exact same thing to Cody. The end came when Goldust blind tagged himself in to roll up Rowan out of nowhere. The action was intense at times, but this was not the best we have seen from either team. Cody and Goldust need to drop the titles at Elimination Chamber, not Royal Rumble. I really think the match between the two brothers at WrestleMania could be a show stealer. You may ask why shouldn't they drop it at Rumble? There will be at least 3-4 storylines being started. There is no rush for these two guys. They only need a month to build up something great for their match. It has to happen this year.

Grade: B

Big E Langston defeated Curtis Axel. Langston continues to improve in the ring and as a character. He cuts an easy and logical promo about Brock Lesnar before the match. You can see he is beginning to get more comfortable in a backstage matter. Anyways, the match itself was very generic. You do not want to see Axel with much offense here because it would make no sense in the bigger picture. We are going to wait and see who WWE wants Langston to feud with heading into March-April. I would not be shocked if they did NOT give him Mark Henry, like previously reported. Who would be your choice? @JoshIsenberg4 for your answers on Twitter.

Grade: C

Brie Bella defeated Aksana. The divas put on a quick and good match on Smackdown. It looks like Brie Bella is improving right in front of my eyes. The biggest knock I had on her before was that she was not smooth into move transitions. It always seemed like she was a half step behind or would miss a specific transition. Tonight, she was the one that carried Aksana, who is actually very underrated. She can definitely hold her own in the ring and looks good doing it. Too bad her personality hasn't been seen since managing Antonio Cesaro.
