WWE Slammy AwardsThe Undercard Part Two

Rey Mysterio, Big Show, Cody Rhodes and Goldust defeated The Real Americans, Curtis Axel and Ryback. Big Show took early control of the match by chopping down Ryback. We head to a break when Goldust takes down Ryback. We get back and Mysterio hits a hurricanranna onto Cesaro. Goldust hits a few punches onto Swagger until he hits a chop block. All of the heels work on the injured Goldust. I loved the fact that they always had a fresh man ready to go. It is the small things that really tell the story with eight men involved. Each man gets their turn in the ring. Goldust finally gets a double DDT to turn the tides. Cody gets the hot tag and really works over Axel. He hits a missile dropkick for a two count. This is where the action really picks up. Cody hits a moonsault which prompts Show to tackle Ryback to the outside. He collides with The Real Americans and Cody Rhodes hits Disaster Kick. Mysterio finishes off Axel with a 619 and a body splash for the victory. Great chemistry between all eight guys. It was not the absolute cleanest of matches, but it really showed you that the tag team division is in good hands right now. They have many options and many avenues to go on. I can see all four teams in some sort of Tag Team Turmoil match at WWE TLC.

Grade: B

Sin Cara defeated Alberto Del Rio once again. The second consecutive week shows us what WWE is currently thinking about Alberto Del Rio. Here is what makes me laugh: Alberto can come so close to defeating John Cena at a major Pay-Per-View, but he only lasts about 6-7 minutes against Sin Cara. It is pretty poor booking. The only good part about this match is that is shows us that Del Rio will not be involved in major championships/storylines in the near future. That is a success.

Grade: C

Brodus Clay defeated Xavier Woods in a very fast match. Clay gets taken down by a splash and a kick from Woods. He would finally get the better on him and hit a big splash onto the rookie. After the match, Woods takes more of a beating from Clay. This easily shows you that WWE wants to turn Clay heel. Who will he go after next? Also, a good heel turn needs a popular face to really feel important. WWE missed the boat on this one.
