Raw Reaction The Storylines

John Cena, Goldust, and Cody Rhodes defeated Damien Sandow and The Real Americans. This is a rematch from Smackdown where Cena and the champs picked up the victory. It looks like the 6 man tag team match is the best part each and every single week on Raw and Smackdown. I love the intensity of Damien Sandow. When he steps into the ring, you can see a drastic change in his character to the point where his aggression overcomes his intelligence. That is not a bad thing for a young guy trying to establish himself. I would have loved to see the heels win because it gives the champions someone to worry about. Jack and Antonio NEED to be booked stronger than how they have been. I do not see the loss hurting Sandow as much because he still has not been pinned by Cena. (aside from the championship match a week ago) There is still so much time to build for two potential championship matches. Will we see Sandow vs. Cena vs. Del Rio at Survivor Series? I hope so.

The Usage of New Talent

CM Punk defeated Luke Harper to kick off Raw. I will say this was the coming out party for Luke Harper. I never followed Brodie Lee before he came to the WWE. I watched a little of his work and was midly impressed. You can see that this guy has so many pieces to be successful in the WWE. He was beating down Punk time and time again. He added a huge boot to a flying Punk, one that looked like he knocked his head off. Harper was fast, given plenty of time to work and showed his versatility inside the ring. His ring psychology is fantastic. The vocals and the facial expressions are the little things that will get him to a higher level. It does not hurt him that he is wrestling a match with Punk. Punk continues to impress and this victory was needed for him. Daniel Bryan comes out and makes the save when The Wyatt Family tries to attack Punk. I enjoy the progression of this new talent in WWE because it is giving us a glimpse into the future in 5 years. Punk needed something new and needed to step away from Paul Heyman. This is a positive step for all parties involved, excluding Bryan. He should still be in the main event.
