The Undercard
Joseph Park, Eric Young, and ODB defeateed The Bromans and Gail Kim. A six person tag match kicks off the action in the ring this week. I find it funny that Robbie E is the most talented guy in this match but is completely mismanaged. The faces pick up the win in a meaningless match that I felt should have been used for Gail Kim and ODB to really start a feud. With the new champion, there must be a viable opponent. Kim is obviously talented to the point where she should carry the divison. Her versus ODB will be a unique pairing of strength and technicality.

Austin Aries defeated Kenny King in an inpromptu match that was really good. I wish this would be a long feud for each man because they need one another. King is extremely talented but has not had that ONE feud to get him over. Aries is at a point in TNA where no loss or lack of championships would hurt him. Everyone know this guy is extremely talented. I would have LOVED to see King pull the upset so we can continue the feud. Kenny King should be handled much differently. Give the guy an opportunity to work at a higher level and you will get higher results. A wonderful belly to belly off the top rope got King the advantage, but Aries hit a corner dropkick and a Brainbuster for the win.
Grade: B
Manik defeated Chris Sabin to retain his X-Division Championship. With the speed of these two, I expected it to last a lot longer than it did. I am not a fan of the Sabin character at the moment. He is using Velvet Sky as his shield, someone to protect him. So, a guy who came back from serious surgery is now a coward? It was only a few months ago where he was champion and he was the guy that people wanted to see succeed. Manik is very talented, but i do not love the masked gimmick. We do see Ausitn Aries save Manik from attacks after the match. Sabin vs. Aries seems to be in the forefront for TNA. Look for a tag team match adding King and Manik.
