The Main Events
– I can try and explain it to you by typing, but it does no justice. Go back and watch the brilliance of CM Punk in his hometown of Chicago. Paul Heyman comes out and tricks Punk to come and attack him. Ryback and Axel attack Punk, but Punk fights back. He throws Axel into the stage and hits a kick right in the back of the head. He flies and lands on Ryback off the stage. As this fight ensues, Punk finally gets slowed down and beaten up by Heyman's guys. Ryback finally throws Punk through a table and knocks him out cold.
The drama, the intensity, the crowd. All of these made an excellent promo, that we may have heard before, fantastic. This is going to continue to get better when they finally build towards the end. Let's just enjoy the ride and watch two masters of their craft battle it out.
Grade: A
WWE Faces defeated The Shield. First off, heels should never be the underdogs against an entire roster. What the hell is the point with that? 11-3 when the 3 are heels is completely ILLOGICAL. After a handful of guys get eliminated, Dolph Ziggler, The Uso's and Daniel Bryan stand tall. They eliminate Reigns first, which was a curveball. Second, Ambrose gets eliminated by Ziggler. Lastly, Rollins eliminates a few guys before his fate was sealed.
I was very confused to see Raw end like this. It was such a positive note and it made me wonder what will happen next. I wouldn't mind seeing The Shield vs. Goldust and Cody Rhodes. That would be great and would be so meaningful for all parties involved. Cody is bigger than ever right now and has immediately shot himself higher than any other superstar in the past month. (aside from Bryan, obviously.) Daniel Bryan stands tall, which means he will not next week.
