The Undercard Part Two
Alberto Del Rio defeated R-Truth in a basic match. Alberto hits a shoulder block and taunts the crowd, which I think is needed more from him. It is easy to gain heat when you make fun of the crowd and he certainly needs all of the help he can get. Alberto gets kicked in the face by Truth and follows it up with a clothesline and a dive to the outside. As they get back into the ring, Del Rio hits a kick to the back of his neck and begins to aggressively attack his head. Truth tries for an axe kick but Alberto counters with a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker, then he connects with a superkick and makes him tap to the Cross Armbreaker. The match was entertaining to watch, even though there was no meaning behind it. No RVD, no enhancement in the feud for the World Heavyweight Championship, and simply a step backwards in the grand scheme of things. This is the GO HOME SHOW! Make it count and sell the Pay Per View match, not R-Truth who can't draw a nickel.

Santino Marella defeated Antonio Cesaro in Santino's return to the WWE. Ugh, what the hell? Cesaro, once again, gets the hack treatment. Instead of continuing the build for a tag team that could be really good, he loses to Marella. It was nice to see Santino back because he STILL can make everyone of us laugh to a certain extent. Marella wins with a judo throw. That was different and much better than a stupid cobra. All in all, this did not do a damn thing for anybody.
Grade: D
Damien Sandow defeated The Miz when Fandango came out and distracted Miz. Sandow and Miz put on a pretty decent bout. I really enjoy the way that Sandow attacks his opponents. He does not waste much time from transitioning from one move to the next. He seems very smooth in the ring and Miz was a good opponent for him. Here is a thought: Should The Miz be a guy that is aiming for the World Heavyweight Championship in the future? A former WWE Champion who headlined WrestleMania 27 would be a very interesting selection. He was great as a heel and needs to get back to that. We will see what WWE wants to do, but Fandango vs. Miz should conclude in the next few weeks.

Rob Van Dam defeated Ryback via Disqualification. Ryback would get disqualified when he rammed RVD into the post between the legs. Ryback would not care, as he hit Shell Shock afterwards. This would have been a perfect time for Del Rio to come out and pick the bones of his opponent in six days. We did not get that and got RVD laying on the mat from a beating by a guy who does not have any importance in the Night of Champions PPV Sunday.
