The Main Event
The night would be focused, once again, around Daniel Bryan. Yes, Randy Orton is the WWE Champion but he is taking a backseat to Triple H and Bryan right now. They call Randy Orton the face of the WWE, ironically. Bryan has everything going for him and some incredible reactions from the crowd. Every time he steps into the public eye, it works. Daniel Bryan would ruin Orton’s new Escalade that Triple H bought him. Yes, Kofi Kingston did this to a car of Orton’s before. I understand that. This was more impactful because it’s not KOFI KINGSTON. Daniel Bryan spray paints the best chant of the past decade all over his car. That was great and the end of the night would be even better.
Daniel Bryan ended up in a Gauntlet Match against the members of The Shield. No superstar was able to help him or he would be fired. As the superstars stood on the ramp, they were basically in the front row of an absolutely breathtaking match between Bryan and Rollins. Many people may think I am crazy but I stand by my thoughts of Rollins being a better overall performer in the ring than Dean Ambrose. This match proved that he had the strength (with a beautiful suplex), the speed (with his ability to pace Bryan to his limit) and the athleticism (his bump from the top rope German Suplex) to be a big star in the WWE. I compare him to Bryan because Bryan was not the absolute strongest guy on the microphone until he was given the opportunity. Dean Ambrose is like Punk in that we all knew how good he was at cutting a promo. I went back and watched Tyler Black and Jon Moxley and I do think these two guys will be at the top of WWE for many years. The time will come when both will rise to the top. I think, right now, that Rollins has a slight edge in more categories than Ambrose. This is like picking RG3/Colin Kaepernick, Trout/Harper, or Crosby/Ovechkin. There is no right choice, just your preference.
At the end of the night, The Shield attacked and took out Daniel Bryan. They hit a Triple Powerbomb and then Randy Orton came down the ramp and hit an RKO. This had such great heat from the crowd. It reminded you of the Attitude Era or the NWO. WWE found something golden here and will have a chance to keep it going from week to week. My last question of the night was: Who is the face that will help Bryan? Whoever it is, he will become SO CRUCIAL. My suggestion is Dolph Ziggler.
