The Undercard
Dolph Ziggler defeated Jack Swagger. This was a pretty simple match with Swagger using his size to his advantage. Ziggler was beaten down and sent to the outside. As he got back into the ring, he reversed Swagger's attempt at an ankle lock and hit ZigZag for the win. Ziggler and Swagger should have had more than 6 minutes to work. They could have put on a really good match. This was just basic and did nothing for either guy.

The Shield attack The Uso's. The biggest factor was that Mark Henry came out and saved Jimmy and Jey from a beat down from the champions. Rollins, Reigns, and Ambrose run off from Henry, who is obviously upset at getting beaten down on Raw. I can see a 6 man tag team match at Summerslam with potentially all titles on the line. I think this would work better for Henry and The Uso's rather than just a tag team or US Title Match. It makes things more interesting. I still wish WWE had better tag teams than what they are throwing out there. Nonetheless, this is a step in the right direction adding Henry. Even though he is better suited as a heel, he is a guy that adapts so well with whatever he is booked to do.

Daniel Bryan defeated Wade Barrett in quick fashion. Bryan hit a running dropkick and fought off Barrett's kick to the stomach. Bryan makes Barrett tap out. Again, this was cut out from Raw because they only had about 4 minutes. They were given LESS time here in the ring. That makes no sense to me. I know you need Bryan to look strong, but what is Barrett doing wrong? Something is wrong with him where WWE refuses to push him to the main event level. This was a shocking squash match from the "underdog."

Rob Van Dam defeated Darren Young. It is nice to see RVD work Raw and Smackdown. The match, again, was very simple and quick. Smackdown lacked really intriguing matches with storytelling in the ring. RVD was on fire until Titus distracted him. Young hit about three moves until RVD reversed him and hit Rolling Thunder. After a 5 Star Frog Splash, Van Dam celebrates his victory. Is RVD the best option for Del Rio's World Heavyweight Championship? The talking will not be good, but the wrestling would be excellent. Who else do they have to face Alberto? I would love to see this answered on Monday, where Big Show returns. Will they throw Show in there? Let's hope not. We have seen that before.
