Wrestlezone’s Top 10: What We Learned at WWE Money in the Bank

Number 4: Rob Van Dam is the new Chris Jericho

Rob Van Dam

The return of Rob Van Dam was exciting. I have never been a huge fan of RVD, but I know why people cheer for him. RVD needs to forget about his time in TNA. A big stage, financial means, and the “WWE” logo propels RVD into a main event spot. He does not need to win anything because he has already done it all. So, why is he back? With Jericho gone, RVD is going to fill his shoes in whatever way WWE needs him. Rob Van Dam is there for the money and could care less if he wins anything. Jericho loved the business, but cared more about getting young guys over. Both veterans are going to be used to get other guys over and I am alright with that. RVD may win a championship here and there, but he is going to be the part time guy that Jericho was right before he left for the rest of the year. RVD and Jericho put on an incredible match. This shows you that RVD still has “it.” My only fear is that his inability to cut a great promo could hurt his feuds from being more exciting and more meaningful.
