Isenberg and Killam Predict WWE Payback: What Should and Will Happen

Dolph Ziggler vs. Alberto Del Rio

Dolph Ziggler

What SHOULD happen:

Josh Isenberg: We all know that Alberto Del Rio is not over as a face. It has been a problem for WWE ever since they decided to turn him face. I would love to see Ziggler actually control an entire match, work his offense in a fast and clean pace, and make Del Rio get to the very end of his road. Ziggler has not been wrestling for over a month. He should be the champion that looks strong, not the champion that is on the ropes.

Mike Killam: The whole mix of Smackdown main event talents is a revolving door of people with mediocre pushes, and even less stellar crowd reactions. Ziggler finally got his time in the spotlight, and then was immediately punted in the face by Swags for his trouble. Not the best way to kick off a reign of terror. Big E Langston needs to play a role in the match – have him get ejected by the ref, and allow Ziggler to pick up the win on his own, to give some semblance of credibility to his title reign.

What WILL happen:

Josh Isenberg: Alberto Del Rio will come close to winning back the World Heavyweight Championship on several 2 counts. Del Rio will be in control until Ziggler is able to hit a few moves, including a dropkick that is second to none. Del Rio will lock in his Cross Armbreaker until Ziggler either gets help from AJ or Big E. Ricardo gets involved and the outside interference gives Ziggler the chance to hit ZigZag for the victory. A win that is picked up by outside interference are the ingredients to this match.

Mike Killam: Alberto del Rio will not win the World Heavyweight Championship this Sunday. The crowd likes him (or at least, they like Ricardo), but it's easy enough to find fault with the guy who prematurely ended Ziggler's championship hopes and dreams. ADR makes a good chaser, because you do want to see his matches, and ultimately hope he does well. But #ZiggleWiggle keeps going strong after Payback and into the summer.

Winner: Dolph Ziggler
