Isenberg and Killam Predict WWE Payback: What Should and Will Happen

The Shield (Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins) vs. Daniel Bryan and Randy Orton

Daniel Bryan

What SHOULD happen:

Josh Isenberg: I would love to see this match be another clean victory for The Shield. There have been so many disqualifications and interferences from the group over the past few months. Randy Orton should take the loss, so it preserves Daniel Bryan's hot streak.

Mike Killam: I know fans are clammoring for the Orton heel turn, but at this point in his career, he's an expendable rub for an up-and-coming star like Daniel Bryan. Shield has to retain on Sunday – no doubt about that. But Daniel Bryan is on fire; probably the hottest thing in the wrestling world right now (until Cult of Personality does, or does not play again). Team R-K-No takes the fall, it's Orton's fault, and they set up a big singles feud that carries Goat Face to a WWE Championship match at SummerSlam.

What WILL happen:

Josh Isenberg: I can easily see a hectic ending to the match, with Orton and Bryan arguing with one another to be caught off guard. Roman Reigns will hit his spear and pin Bryan, thus making him feel like he is the weak link once again. Whatever happens, The Shield just cannot drop the belts at this time.

Mike Killam: WWE really likes to protect guys like Orton, and it's severely hurt the pushes of other great young stars in the past. I'm not saying it's his fault, they're just really into making sure the Viper trades wins and losses like Pokemon cards in the late 90's. I have a feeling they'll make Bryan the scapegoat (HA!), which is a huge mistake, but either way Shield leaves with the titles.

Winner: The Shield
