James Storm – One Step Down
Poor guy, just can't seem to kick the Tagteam-itus he's had most of his TNA career. Why can't he be given the same remedy that Bully Ray's been given?
Storm has been a trooper this entire time though. No verbally lashing out at the company providing him a paycheck (from what I've seen or heard), no simply going through the motions during matches and promos, and he clearly hasn't cared enough to quit.
TNA, in my mind, is a completely different animal than WWE when it comes to performers having the "right" to bitch about their place.
No one has been in WWE from day one — no one, besides Vince, can claim they helped "make" that company. There are several stars in TNA that have been with them from day 1, yet they are constantly being pushed aside for every WWE cast-off and B-rated celebrity TNA can get their hands on.
Storm, Styles, Daniels…I'd even put Samoa Joe in there at this point, primarily because I think he's the one biggest failure TNA has to offer. His blood is on their hands in every way, not his. He remains over despite NO — as in ZERO, NOTHING, NADA — creative help from the office.
I digress.
Oh how far we've traveled since Storm vs Roode was supposed to be headlining the company. Both guys deserve better, much better, but unfortunately, WWE must not be calling.
