Sting Turning Heel?

Wait…what was Sunday? Did they have a pay per view or something?
Joking aside, it is pretty sad that I had to be reminded of TNA's pay per view after the fact. It seems that happens more often than not too.
Regardless, there are certainly a couple things in TNA that have my attention right now. One is Rampage Jackson's involvement. I actually think he's a great addition and one of TNA's better finds over that past few years.
The other is Sting and the possibility of a heel turn.
And before it gets said, fans still waiting on a "Sting to WWE" headline to appear need to quit holding their breath. I'm not saying it won't ever happen, but Sting seems content and at peace with the fact it might not. We should do the same.
The TNA and Sting relationship has been solid from day one, even if a bit overexposed at times. I can't really say I blame them for trying to get the most out of one of the last true "icons" our favorite sport has to offer.
I can't imagine a heel turn, if it indeed happens, would be anything more than temporary for Sting. Even though it appears he could go on wrestling for another decade — he really doesn't age at all — the reality is that his time is coming to an end, sooner rather than later.
He won't "retire" a bad guy, so there still needs to be time for him to turn back before it's all said and done.
The question then turns to, who in the hell would he work as a heel? There's just not a whole lot of babyfaces I would qualify as worthy of that shot. Maybe Hardy, again? AJ Styles, again? Samoa Joe — the most underrated and underused guy I think I've ever seen in pro wrestling?
Fans (and dirt sheets) could be reading too much into all of it, but it's fun nonetheless. Sting has been a great babyface most of his career. I'd love to see something fresh for one of my all-time favorites before he goes out in a blaze of glory.
