4. Hollywood Hulk Hogan
All it took was on night at Bash at the Beach. Eric Bischoff and WCW did something that changed professional wrestling's course. They turned Hulk Hogan, the most popular superstars in the history of the business, into a bad guy. When Hogan turned heel, it set off waves that could never be slowed down. WCW was the cool thing, was the hip company, and was the wrestling company that changed our way of thinking. When Hulk Hogan left WWE, he signed a huge deal to work in WCW. The company focused all of their mainstream media attention to him. Intelligently so, Hogan left a mark on WCW forever. In all of the good and bad times, Hogan was there. Hogan helped so many young guys get over, shockingly enough. It may not have been his decision, but guys like The Giant and Bill Goldberg capitalized on Hogan's success and created their own. Hogan won the WCW Heavyweight Championship on numerous occasions, while creating a new legacy as the front man for the New World Order. He may not have had the most excellent matches each week, but Hogan was heavily leaned on to cross WCW into the world of entertainment.
