Wade Barrett – One Step Down
Lord knows we've had enough Barrett vs Miz, but I guess WWE feels the addition of Fandango will make it worth it. Maybe it will, but not for Barrett.
I could see Fandango getting the title at the end of this thing and I'm fine with that, even if the craze has worn off by now and will wear off more by the time he actually wins it. He needs something of substance following a better-than-expected (and long) program with Jericho.
Of course, it's hard to call the IC title substantial at all these days.
How much of a disappointment has Wade Barrett been though? We're inching toward a year since his return from injury and I can't imagine anyone saw his career going this way.
He's young though. There's still plenty of time.
It really is a weird time in WWE right now. Few "real" stars, even fewer full-time, and a crazy influx of young talent. Really GOOD, young talent.
It makes you wonder what the future might be for a guy like Barrett. WWE seems to be looking in every nook and cranny for the next big star that they forget about the guys standing right under their noses.
